2009 Byrd Payment Information: Honey Producers who have been continual members of AHPA from Sept 28, 2000 through 2009 may be eligible to receive distributions of anti-dumping duties imposed on unfairly traded imports of honey from China and Argentina through the "Byrd Amendment". So far in FY 2009 US Customs has collected $2,137,132.06 in past duties that will be returned to honey producers.
Byrd Certification Forms need to be filed with Customs by July 28, 2009.
The information below will assist you in filing your Byrd Certification Forms.
Please note for honey producers that have been filing these forms for multiple years. The only changes for 2009 are printed in RED in 2 paragraphs on page 3 of the "Byrd Instructions" file. If you read these 2 paragraphs, you will not have to wade through the 25 pages of other information on this website.
The forms that you need to fill out are available below in Word format. If you do not have Microsoft Word, you can download the .pdf version, print and fill in your figures by hand.
